The Diabetes Association of Botswana is a non-profit voluntary organization that has been involved in a number of community projects aimed at educating members of the public about diabetes mellitus.

Our Diabetes Nurse Educators, Joy Crosbie and Motlalekgomo Matsheng-Samuel are available to offer diabetes education and counselling. Mrs Joy Crosbie can be accessed at Independence Surgery, while Mrs Motlalekgomo Matsheng-Samuel can be accessed at Block 6 Clinic . 

WHERE TO GET HELP

The first point of contact for screening for diabetes mellitus in Botswana will be the local clinics or private surgeries. In Botswana, there is a clinic within the 5 km radius in towns, cities and villages. Specialized diabetes care can be accessed through our primary and district hospitals around Botswana.

There is specialized clinic in children with diabetes and other hormonal disorders at Princess Marina Hospital.
